Learn to play ice hockey! The focus of this class is to teach young players about the game and develop the fundamental skills of ice hockey. This is a skill-based training session where players are separated into smaller groups to complete various drills with the coaches.
Ice skating experience is expected prior to joining this class.

Junior DEVELOPMENT TRAINING TERM 1, 2025

• Dates: Wednesday 29th January - Wednesday 2nd April

  Please Note: There is no training on Wednesday 19th March

• Duration: 9 weeks

• Time: 6:10pm- 7:10pm

• Junior: 13yrs and under

  * Kids can begin ice hockey in our programs from 5 years old, if they can skate independently and follow coach instruction.

WHAT’S INCLUDED?

• Skate hire & protective gear for first term enrolments

• Experienced hockey coaches

• 60 minute training session each week

• 2 x FREE skate passes each term for you to use during iceHQ public sessions. (Not valid for special events, school holidays, public holidays or private coaching lessons).

Junior Development games give young players the opportunity to play ice hockey in a modified game environment when they’re not quite ready for full-ice hockey games.

Cross ice games offer learning experiences in a beginner setting and provide the perfect first-game experience for kids who have just started hockey or are continuing to develop their game skills.

Our development game program caters for ages 5 years and up and provides modified game opportunities on half ice, with coaching staff providing instant feedback and coaching to prepare young players for full ice games.

5 scheduled games during Term 1 gives young players the chance to play hockey and also enjoy some free weekends!
